I’m excited to announce that I’ve been invited to join the team of hosts for the Somerville Songwriter Sessions concert series which takes place the first Saturday of the month at the Center for Arts at the Armory in Somerville MA.
Each month one of the hosts invites two other songwriters to perform. The night begins with a 20 minute set by each songwriter, then the second half of the night all three songwriters perform in the the round. It’s a great opportunity to hear some incredible local, regional and sometimes nationally touring artists.
My co-hosts are Terry Kitchen, Beth DeSombre and Kim Jennings – all very talented local songwriters each with very different styles. The variety of songwriters presented should be really terrific!
My first night will be April 4th 2015 and I’ll be hosting Dave Dersham and Marc Herman. I’ll post more details as the date gets near.
Can’t help but be influenced by all the unrest this holiday season. My tunes aren’t typically all that political … especially when writing for the holiday, but this is what came out this year. Hope it stirs something in you.
And if after that you need something a little more uplifting, here’s a bit sweeter holiday song I wrote a couple years ago performed here with Esther Friedman and John Sonntag.
I’m very excited to play my first NYC area gig at the Brooklyn Music Shop! My buddy John Sonntag will play the opening set, then join me & Esther Friedman for the remainder of the evening.
